
The Commonwealth of Massachusetts is a state in the New England region of the north-
eastern United States. Most of its population of 6.4 million lives in the Boston metropolitan area. The eastern half of this relatively small state is mostly urban and suburban, while the west is primarily rural. It is the most populous of the six New England states.

The State of New Hampshire ranks 44th in land area, 46th in total area of the 50 states, and 41st in population. It was one of the original Thirteen Colonies and became the ninth state to ratify the United States Constitution. New Hampshire was also the first U.S. state to have its own state constitution. The state motto is "Live Free or Die"
